Is design really that important

Good design is very subjective and there is no definative answer that says the exact details of what makes good design. Saying that if you are creative and have an eye for these things and follow some fundamental rules you can give it a pretty good go.

Navigation

It is very important that when designing your website that your navigation is clear and easy to use. When someone visits your website it is essential that they can find the information they are looking for quickly and easily.

Colour Scheme

Colour can convey many different feelings to people and therefore is is very important which colours you choose. You should use colours that complement each other.

Layout

Make sure your layout is clear, clean and consise. Arrange your page information with care, do not over crowd you page and make the point you are trying make easy to find.

These are just a few rules to follow, once you have a good design you can start to put the rest of the puzzle together to make your website successful.
